 Steps of Data processing cycle(Theory)

There are three steps for data processing cycle. In these three steps of data processing cycle, three activities are involved. These activities are input, processing, output.

                 Step No.1 

 First step  is INPUT. In this step  all the collected data is transferred to computer. All output data depends upon on this step. So it is very important step. Step one includes following process.

(a) VERIFICATION  

First of all data is verified whether it is correct or incorrect. For example, all M Phill students' data is verified for final exam.

CODING

Secondly all collected data is converted into such a form that computer can read easily. Data is converted into binary form(1,2).

STORING

Then verified and coded data is stored in secondary storage and is given to computer program for processing.

                        Step No.2

In second step of data processing cycle, actual processing takes place. After these activities data is  converted into information. It involves following activites.

CLASSIFICATION

First of all data is categorized into groups and subgroups, so that it can be handled easily.

SORTING

Data is sorted so that we can reach it easily when we required it.

CALCULATIONS

To get required result arithmetic operations are performed.

SUMMARIZATION

Summary of data is prepared for top management. For example summary of pass and fail students.

             Step No.3

Step three involves output of data which is now in the form of Information. It is stored on storage media for later use. Following activities are involved in step three of data processing cycle.

RETRIEVAL 

Stored data in the storage media can be retrieved at any time. For example results of M Phill students can be stored and retrieved.

CONVERSION

Output data can be converted into different required form.

COMMUNICATION

Output data is sent to different places. For example the weather forcast is prepared and sent to different places.

Parent teacher meeting for betterment of students

Beauty, Quality and Reality

  Three things are important in our life. These are Beauty, Quality and Reality. Beauty Beauty is important but it is temporary. We cannot choose a beautiful person as our prime minister or president. We cannot go to a beautiful peron for treatment of illness without quality of a doctor. Quality Quality is also very important. If someone has qualification of doctor we shall go for treatment if someone has quality of engineer we shall concert for building and so on.... But quality is also temporary thing because qaulity lasts so long as someone is alive or he/she possesses some qualification.  Reality But reality is the most important.
