Literary criticism: Criticism and knowledge

Literary criticism:      Criticism is not a general and superficial expression of opinion, but criticism is an indication of the merits and demerits of the scrutiny of creation. Dr. Fahim Azmi says in this regard: "Criticism is not limited to a single work of art, but extends to the whole system and theory. That criticism will not be called criticism in the true sense untill a critic is not neutral in his/her opinion".  Criticism and knowledge  Public opinion is that the purpose of criticism is not to acquire information but to increase knowledge. Because creativity is enough if you want to add information. Criticism is the search for truth, and criticism that does not tell the truth can never be good criticism. Novels in present day.

Reasons why the novel is not written and contemporary issues The story of a novel is a story that the novelist presents at once with all the relationships and events and matters of life. The novel is a complete study of the life of a character. Sometimes a study of the whole of human civilization is offered. The novel is a beautiful form of literature in which any character or era is studied. Urdu novels started with the stories and tales of Nazir Ahmad and then novelists like Sharrer, Sarshar and Soda reached their peak. Then, little by little, the rapid flow of time replaced the novel with fiction.  Same is the case with English or any other language  that the novels are being replaced by short stories. There are many reasons why novels are not written. List of some of them are given below. The first reason is that today's novelists do not have the right insight into life. They lack psychological insight. The novel is usually not in the hands of people whose general k...

Beauty, Quality and Reality

Three things are important in our life. These are Beauty, Quality and Reality. Beauty Beauty is important but it is temporary. We cannot choose a beautiful person as our prime minister or president. We cannot go to a beautiful peron for treatment of illness without quality of a doctor. Quality Quality is also very important. If someone has qualification of doctor we shall go for treatment if someone has quality of engineer we shall concert for building and so on.... But quality is also temporary thing because qaulity lasts so long as someone is alive or he/she possesses some qualification.  Reality But reality is the most important. Reality is that we don't come and die in this world without the will of GOD. Reality is that our beauty and quality is controlled by ALLAH. Reality is that this world is temporary and permanent is only ALLAH.
