Some Tips for Acne Treatment(Health corner)

Most women spend hundreds of dollars on expensive cosmetics and beauty treatments and are left with unsatisfactory results when there are simple procedures that a person can do comfortably at home to ensure that their skin is healthy and flawless. Read on for tips on keeping your skin healthy and happy:

1. Exfoliate often

Too much oil produced by the skin clogs the pores and causes acne; dead skin cells accumulate and need to be removed regularly to provide a new, healthier skin layer. Be sure to exfoliate your face once or twice a week and it will greatly reduce the appearance of dark spots and blemishes.

2. Avoid touching your face

Throughout the day avoid touching your face like sweaty hands and this spreads to the face. Most people are forced to get acne when they appear, but this can make acne worse as it spreads bacteria and causes infections.

3. Add ice and honey

Ice helps to strengthen the skin and reduce the appearance of pores. Freezing helps to remove oil and dirt and reduce redness and inflammation. When your acne swells - one ice-cube can do wonders. Honey acts as a natural antiseptic and soothes the skin. Wearing bee masks works against the problem of acne and is a good way to prevent it.

4. Apply toothpaste

Use this as a quick trick to fix a burning acne if you do not have time for masks or home-made herbs. A small amount of toothpaste on the affected area and leave for several hours or all night, then wash. This will cause the acne to dry out, but remember to use only white toothpaste and never with whitewashed structures.

5. Aloe Vera

When it comes to acne there are very few active ingredients like aloe vera. This plant has antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-septic and astringent properties and can be used as a face mask, moisturizer, oil or added to your diet. It works wonders in reducing and protecting acne as it rejuvenates and softens the skin, stimulating cell growth.

Acne can be painful, but it has never been a problem in itself. Many times the cause lies in our lifestyle habits, food choices or stress levels and we need to examine those to see an unhealthy pattern that needs to be changed. Remember - healthy and beautiful skin comes from the inside. Sometimes the problem may require medical attention, when a dermatologist gives effective treatment to remove the rash and restore the skin to its natural, beautiful state.
